​2024 GFGC Club Championships Entry Form

RULES

Eligibility Criteria- Must have been a Member as at 1 December 2022. Must have played in at least five singles competitions at the Growling Frog between 1 April 2022 and 31 January 2023. Must be a financial Member for 2023 at time of entry. Complete & submit the Entry Form and membership renewal prior to the commencement of Round 1 - 4th Feb 2023. Failure to meet this criteria will result in disqualification from the championships.

Ties (Gross) - If two or more players are tied at the end of the Club Champion (gross) or Women's Champion (gross) competitions there will be a sudden-death playoff to decide the winner. Players will play the 1st hole, then the 9th if required, repeating that sequence until a winner is decided.

Ties (Handicap) - If two or more players are tied at the end of the A Grade (handicap), B Grade (handicap), C Grade (handicap) or Women's Grade (handicap) competitions aggregate countback will be used to decide the winner.

Held across four Saturdays in February and March the four rounds of stroke which make up the Club Championships are the test to find the best golfers in the Club for the year.

  • Club Champion - Lowest gross score four round aggregate by a Member (men).
  • Women’s Champion - Lowest gross score four round aggregate by a Member (women).

The Grade Champions will be decided by the best 3 rounds from the 4 rounds of Championship.
  • A Grade Champion - Lowest nett score three round aggregate by a Member (men Daily Handicap 10 or lower at commencement of 1st round)
  • B Grade Champion - Lowest nett score three round aggregate by a Member (men Daily Handicap between 11-18 at commencement of 1st round )
  • C Grade Champion - Lowest nett score three round aggregate by a Member (men Daily Handicap 19 or higher at commencement of 1st round )
  • Women’s Grade Champion - Lowest nett score three round aggregate by a Member (women)
  • Old Growler - Lowest nett score three round aggregate by a Member (over 50 as at 1st of February for each year the championship is played )
 
  • HANDlCAPS - A player's handicap on the first round event  shall determine which grade they are assigned to for the remainder of the championships.
