Club Champion Aaron Delia has added to his outstanding record with a fourth title in four years, scoring 80 in the final round to hold off Geoff Baldwin (75) by 3 shots.
After a double bogey on the 12th and a bogey on the 13th Aaron led Geoff by a single shot, but he held his nerve with four straight pars, while Geoff bogeyed the 15th and 16th.
Aaron's +22 finish (78-76-76-80) was the best four-round total in his winning run, a scary thought for anyone hoping to take his title next year! He also added the A Grade Nett with 291 (73-71-71-76) by two shots over Geoff (73-73-77-70).
Judy Cooper (99) added a second Women's Championship to the one she won in 2012, denying Clare Lewin's (100) bid for a three-peat by a single shot.
Tied going into the final round, the two were close all the way, with the lead changing hands several times on the back nine. Judy looked shaky after consecutive triple-bogeys on the 14th and 15th, but steadied to par the 16th to take a one shot lead which she held to the finish.
The B Grade Championship was also a nailbiter, with Tim Lewin (72) hanging on for a countback win over Trevor Skeoch (77) after an erroneous playoff was initially used to break the tie.
Tim led by 5 shots after both players bogeyed the 13th, but a birdie by Trevor on the 14th, and a triple-bogey by Tim on the 15th led to the players being tied on the 17th tee. Tim inched ahead with a par on the 17th, but Trevor fought back to even the scores with a bogey on the last to Tim's double-bogey.
Tim eventually prevailed by countback, a great contest played in wonderful spirit, which neither player deserved to lose.
Caine Lowrie (78) produced a strong finish in the final round, with four pars and five bogeys in his last nine holes to take the C Grade Championship by 4 shots over Ryan Rogers (76). Caine's win was set up by a spectacular opening round 68, along with his third round 69, while Ryan also shot 68 in the second round.
Patricia March (78) captured her first Women's Grade Championship by four shots over Lisa McMahon (78), who fought back very well after an opening round 89. Patricia was a model of consistency across the championship, with all four rounds in the 70s.
Apologies for the website link error which meant that the Round 3 Leaderboard was not visible on the final day, which must have been frustrating for all players.
