Starting from the Stableford Competition on Tuesday 1 November (Melbourne Cup Day) updated Local Rules will be in play.
A new Scorecard is being printed to reflect the new rules and to help communicate the changes, particularly to visitors. Please continue to play using the existing Local Rules until 1 November.
If you have any questions about the changes please speak to a member of the Committee, or use the comments section below this item.
The new rules will be as follows:

Out Of Bounds 10th Hole - The short cut grass of the driving range practice fairway is Out Of Bounds. The first and second cuts of the rough are in bounds.

Staked Trees or Staked Shrubs - If a staked tree or staked shrub interferes with stance or swing, relief MUST be taken under Rule 24-2 b.(i).
Fixed Sprinklers/Tap Covers - Fixed Sprinklers/Tap Covers are Immovable Obstructions, relief may be taken under Rule 24-2 b.
Embedded Stones - Firmly embedded stones through the green are to be treated as GUR, relief may be taken under Rule 25-1. Interference with a player’s stance is deemed not to be, of itself, interference under this Rule.
Road/Gravel Path - Ball may be dropped, no closer to the hole, without Penalty, under Rule 24-2.
Kangaroo Marks in Bunkers - Relief may be taken without penalty, if ball comes to rest in kangaroo marks in Bunker. Lift and drop to nearest point of relief within the hazard under Rule 25-1 b. (ii)
Course Signage - All signage (including stakes & ropes) is deemed an Immovable Obstruction. Relief may be taken under Rule 24-2.
Drought Cracks - Relief may be taken if your ball becomes embedded in a drought crack in the first cut of the rough or on the fairway. Ball must be dropped within one club length of the nearest point of relief, no nearer the hole.
Stones In Bunkers - Stones in bunkers are to be treated as movable obstructions and relief may be taken under Rule 24-1.
Distance Measuring Devices - A player may obtain distance information by use of a distance-measuring device. If, during a stipulated round a player uses a distance-measuring device to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g. elevation changes, wind speed, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 14-3.
