Updated Local Rules

The Growling Frog Golf Club Inc Local Rules have been updated in line with the recent changes to the Rules of Golf.

Please note that the new rules will not be featured on the scorecard until the current stock is exhausted and new cards are printed. Players are advised to carry a printed copy of the new Local Rules.

​Key Changes:

• Drought Cracks – Cracks in the ground in the general area cut to fairway height or the first cut of rough are ground under repair. The player may take relief under Rule 16.1b. Interference does not exist if the crack only interferes with the player's stance.

The old Drought Crack rule specified that the ball was 'embedded in' the crack. This rule now includes interference "when the ball touches or lies in or on the condition, or the area of intended swing" - but does not include interference from a crack affecting the player's stance.

• Stones in Bunkers, Distance Measuring Devices and Accidental Movement of a Ball on the Green

These have been removed from the Local Rules since they are now covered by the Rules of Golf.
