The Club enters teams in the Scratch & Handicap competitions run by the Victorian Golf League. See below for information about eligibility, dates and costs.

PARTICIPATION
Growling Frog Golf Club values member participation and the enjoyment of participating and playing golf, winning is not the primary motivation.
PENNANT MANAGERS
The managers should have input to all team decisions, which must then be ratified by the Club Captain/Committee before implementation.
These decisions to include:
- Final squad selections
- Any purchases made on behalf of the Club for Pennant
- Any decisions which will have an impact on GFGC members (disputes)
- All decisions made for any Pennant squads are for both squads.
ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for any Pennant team players must be “Home Club” members, and have played a minimum of 3 competition rounds at growling frog golf course between October 1st 2023 and the commencement of the VGL Pennant Season.
VGL Eligibility - 9.(a) A player in Senior Scratch, Handicap and Seniors Pennant must be a bona-fide member of the Club that he represents by the 1st January in the current year. He must also hold a current Australian Handicap by the first round of pennant and in the Pennant matches he competes in.
As of the 1st October in the preceding year until the first round of pennant each player must return at least four cards in singles competition played at the club they represent.
