WELL DONE STEPHEN - WORTHY WINNER WITH A TOTAL OF 122 POINTS FOR THE 2019 SESSION HAVING AN IMPRESSIVE AVERAGE OF 4.07 POINTS PER ROUND THROUGH HIS CONSISTENCY ALLOWED HIM TO HAVE A GREAT YEAR AND TAKE OUT THE ORDER OF MERIT.
SPECIAL MENTION TO AARON NOLAN WHO POSED STEPHEN'S GREATEST THREAT TO STEAL THE ORDER OF MERIT WHERE HE WAS RIGHT IN IT TILL THE SECOND LAST ROUND WHEN STEPHEN THROUGH HIS CONSISTENCY SEALED THE WIN.
Survival of the wet weather golfers was the order of the day on Saturday for the final of the Stableford Championship.
In the mix Darren Cunningham, Darren Campbell, Aaron Nolan, and Steve Manteit.
The wind made conditions so difficult, then add a rain blast or two, and you've got to wonder , why am I doing this.
Well, Darren Cunningham now knows, congratulations to the 2019 Stableford Champion, played over 5 rounds,
with three players so close, one stroke in it, Aaron, Steve and Darren Campbell.
Only the most "dedicated" golfers braved the elements at The Frog" this Saturday 19th of October, the final round of the Par Championship. Playing Par and freezing cold do not equal a fun round, but our favourite Captain Jason Laurie held his ground and won with +4. John Boz was a worthy second with + 2 and Trevor Skeoch third with -1.
Well done Jason, it must have been your lovely playing partners that helped on the day !!!
